Watered down versions

I don't want to be a copy.
I don't want to be a clone.
I don't want to be a watered down version of some one else.

But we learn through copying. So how do we become ourselves? Maybe the question is how to copy? How do we copy?

If I use my body to create technique, shouldn't it be obvious that my body is the best one to do the technique?

How would I teach that technique?
How are we taught to be dancers?

Are we taught what we should be, or what we are?

We learn so much through the eyes. If I learn to move just through my eyes, what I become?

I can't be some one else. I can try, but still I'm just a watered down version.

How do we become ourselves?
